Staffordshire-based attraction Trentham Monkey Forest is giving away a ‘Breakfast with Monkeys’ experience for two people as it launches a new summer competition that celebrates the 300-year anniversary of Trentham Estate landscaper ‘Capability’ Brown.
The attraction has named their summer photography competition ‘Are You Capable?’ in honour of the famous gardener who worked on many gardens, estates and mansions across the UK and was named ‘England’s greatest gardener’.
Not only is the Monkey Forest looking for brilliant monkey images, but it is also looking for monkey pictures that showcase the beautiful landscape and scenery in the forest too.
Director and Primatologist Sue Wiper said ‘We want people to capture the beauty of the forest as well as the monkeys. We want to celebrate how the landscape has changed over the years.’
She continued, ‘Brown’s work really is fascinating; we bet he would never have imagined the land he once worked on would be home to 140 free-roaming monkeys!’
The competition runs from the 23rd July – 31st August and visitors can enter by uploading their images to Trentham Monkey Forest’s Facebook and Twitter pages using the hashtag #AreYouCapable. The lucky winner will be announced in September.
