Colchester Zoo will be running a series of late night events over the summer as they extend their opening times and offer visitors the chance to see wildlife after hours.
As the heat of the day subsides, watch animals like the Amur leopards, tigers, hyenas and anteaters spring to life in the cool evening air, long after visitors have gone home. Enjoy a whole host of events as opening is extended until 8.30pm on Saturday 29th July and 12th August, with special feeds, displays and training sessions. Make the most of the cool summer evenings and relax by the zoo’s lake as the sun slowly goes down.
During the month of September the zoo will also be offering Starlight Safaris on Saturday 16th & 30th, with extended opening until 9.30pm. A timetable designed to show off animal skills at twilight will include training sessions and displays, plus special feeds and activities focused on those most deadly after dark. Remember to bring a torch here as the nights will become darker earlier on.
All late night events are included in the zoo’s general admission price, with last entry at 6pm.
