Big cats on the move at Paradise Wildlife

A brand new state of the art White Lion Habitat is due to open at Paradise Wildlife Park in April 2019.

Until recently, the new White Lion Habitat was home to resident white tiger Baikal, who is currently taking a short holiday at the Park’s sister site, The Big Cat Sanctuary in Kent. Once work is completed on the white lion development, Baikal will move back to the Hertfordshire based wildlife park and into a new tiger habitat of his own.

The development is part of a 10 year plan for African animals at Paradise and is the park’s biggest project to date. A giant African Bilbao tree at the centre of the habitat will offer visitors 360 degree views of the lion’s environment, with interactive features including a jeep built into glass with a bonnet for the big cats to sit on.

Paradise Wildlife Park look after one of the largest big cat collections in the UK with 4 white lions, 2 tigers, 3 jaguars, 2 snow leopards, a white tiger, cheetah and ocelot.
