Visitors to ZSL Whipsnade Zoo will come face to face with a collection of huge, animal LEGO brick creations this Easter.
The Great Brick Safari opens to the public on Saturday 6th April and features some unbelievably realistic LEGO brick beasts including a silverback gorilla, hyena, meerkats, penguins and a lion with two playful cubs.
The biggest of them all – a mammoth one-tonne elephant called Earl Grey – took a team of six experts 1660 hours and 271,739 LEGO bricks to build! Fans of creepy-crawlies will also get the chance to meet life-like brick bugs, including giant desert hairy scorpions and Goliath bird-eating-spiders.
Children of all ages will be able to follow the Great Brick Safari Trail, packed with fun activities, and let their imaginations loose and build their own favourite creatures in the dedicated Brick Pits.
The Great Brick Safari at UK’s largest zoo runs until 2nd June 2019. For more information on visiting go to www.zsl.org
