Red squirrel walk-through planned for Wildwood

The Wildwood Trust is planning to build a giant Red Squirrel Walk-through with hopes to complete and open by Easter 2019.

Red squirrels are one of Britain’s most attractive woodland animals and one of it’s rarest. The Kent based conservation charity has been leading a campaign to reintroduce red squirrels back to the UK after they were almost wiped out by the  larger invasive grey squirrel.

Set within 40 acres of ancient woodland, over fifty species of native British animals such as deer, wild boar, wolves and brown bear can be seen at the Wildwood Discovery Park near Canterbury.
