Camp under the stars at Whipsnade Zoo

ZSL Whipsnade Zoo in Bedfordshire are offering nature lovers the chance to sleep under the stars this summer with a brand new wild camping experience.

Nature Night Camping offers guests the opportunity to sleepover at the UKs largest zoo alongside its 3500 animals on selected dates during August and September.

Campers will be able to pitch their tents as darkness falls and the last visitors of the day have gone. Fascinating talks on how best to spot the zoo’s animals at night-time will be followed by a torch-lit expedition to discover which animals are still awake.

After an evening of animal tracking campers will return to their tents before settling down for the night. They can then expect to be woken by the roar of lions, squawk of parrots and the trumpeting of elephants as day breaks.

Breakfast is included and will be served at the zoo’s Wildbite Café before campers enjoy an exclusive morning tour of Whipsnade before doors opens to the public. Guest can then choose whether to stay at the zoo for the rest of the day, free of charge.

Nature Night Camping at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo takes place on Saturday 5, 12 & 19 August and Saturday 2 September, 2017 from 6.30pm until 10am the following day.

Places are limited for this wild sleepover and must be booked in advance. To find out more visit www.zsl.org/zsl-whipsnade-zoo
