MBNA Thames Clippers has teamed up with ZSL (Zoological Society of London) to offer free wildlife activity packs for younger passengers.
During a trip on London’s river bus service kids are encouraged to use the downloadable work sheets to learn more about wildlife living in the Thames.
From charismatic marine mammals like harbour seals, grey seals and porpoises, to eels, seahorses and tiny fish like the smelt, many fascinating species call this unique habitat home.
The new activity packs are available to download free of charge from the MBNA Thames Clippers website and feature quirky puzzles, fast facts and even a fishy dot-to-dot.
ZSL is an international conservation that oversees both ZSL London Zoo and ZSL Whipsnade Zoo, as well as the Institute of Zoology. The ZSL Estuaries and Freshwater conservation team work in the Thames estuary to understand and monitor the species that live here, so we can help to protect them and enhance the ecology of the river.
MBNA Thames Clippers connect the Capital’s top attractions including the South Bank (served by London Eye pier), Covent Garden (accessed by hopping off the boat at Embankment pier) and the Tower of London (right next to Tower pier). The boats have family-friendly features including ramps for easy buggy access, an on-board bar, toilet facilities and outside viewing decks to enjoy the best views of the city.
