The Chief Executive Officer Benjamin Mee wrote a book about buying the zoo called, We Bought a Zoo, which later became the subject of a major Hollywood movie of the same name starring Matt Damon and Scarlett Johannson.
Dartmoor Zoo became a charity in 2014 and operates as a conservation and education centre. Ideal for family days out, the zoo also offers a number of experiences including Big Cat Keeper for the day, Meet the Meerkats and Ranger Experience.
