February marks the start of the Chinese year of the monkey and what better way to celebrate than the reopening of the award-winning Trentham Monkey Forest. The forest reopens on the 13th February with a special ‘Lovebirds’ weekend. Not only will it be your first chance to see how the babies have grown over the winter, but The Owl Experience will be joining in the fun too.
It’s the perfect place to take your loved one on a date with a difference this valentine’s weekend. Take a romantic stroll through the forest and see the monkeys for the first time this year. Learn all about beautiful birds of prey with The Owl Experience and even have your picture taken with them (extra charges apply) – the perfect way to capture the special moment.
Monkey Forest has got lots planned for the year ahead. They have their Mother’s Day Tea Party coming up soon on the 6th March, as well as an exciting event for Science Weekend where your little ones can ‘Become a Scientist’ for the day on the 19th – 20th March.
New events include Easter Face Painting every weekend in the Easter holidays, PDSA Weekend on the 16th-17th April, and the muchly anticipated Exotic Animals Weekend on the 9th-10th July, which will see a variety of species and even Meerkats making an appearance! With a whole range of brilliant events and the arrival of the new babies not far off, Monkey Forest are set for another amazing year.
