The Great British Autumn at Longleat

Visit Longleat  between Saturday 21st and Sunday 29th October and enjoy a brand new event celebrating The Great British Autumn.

A host of autumnal activities will take place at the Wiltshire Estate throughout the week including flying owl shows, apple pressing, mud kitchens and pumpkin trails.

Set within the stunning scenery of Longleat’s Capability Brown-landscaped parkland, The Great British Autumn will showcase traditional activities associated with the season.

‘Owls at Autumn’ features displays from barn and tawny owls and take place at 12.30pm, 2.30pm and 4.30pm each day in the Longhouse.

There will also be the opportunity to visit a woodland workshop, ride on mini tractors and listen to presentations by keepers on hibernation and how it affect Longleat’s animals; particularly the tortoises.

Visitors can also take part in a Safari Park drive-through and enjoy the changing autumnal colours while watching chainsaw art displays.

In keeping with Halloween, visitors will also be able to book on the highly popular spooky Ghost Tours around Longleat House, which take place up to six times a day. The tours cost £10 and pre-booking is strongly recommended.

Longleat’s Fantastic Fireworks also returns Thursday 26th to Saturday 28th October with spectacular pyrotechnic displays set to a bug-themed soundtrack taking place every evening.
