Several Sea Life centres will be turning the spotlight on scary critters of the deep this Halloween.
As well as meeting creepy spider crabs, batfish, wolf-fish and other appropriately named creatures however, visitors will learn that it is we humans who are the real monsters!
The centres’ special package of fright-fest’ entertainment running from 24th October to 1st November will also highlight the horrors that pollution, over-fishing and other human follies are inflicting on the marine world.
There will be lots of fishy fun too including a novel pumpkin hunt, a Yucky Dip, spooky fact finding, lantern making, scary face painting and crafts and fancy dress.
The Halloween entertainment provides another chance for visitors to check out this year’s big new features at each of the participating centres – like the walkthrough Penguin Island at Scarborough and Shark Encounter at Great Yarmouth.
