The Penguin Ice Adventure at the National SEA LIFE Centre Birmingham features 12 Gentoo penguins. The birds are classified as near-threatened on the IUCN Red List, and have been bred together at the SEA LIFE Centre Melbourne as part of the Breed, Rescue, Protect programme.

The attraction itself has seen significant year-on-year investment and also houses a freshwater turtle breeding centre. Sea life lovers can adopt seahorses, sea turtles and sharks (with penguins coming soon) and all the donations go towards the SEA LIFE Marine Conservation Trust. They will then allocate your donation towards your chosen creature’s specific campaigns.
