Ventura Wildlife’s Zoological Gardens is one of the UK’s newest and most interactive small zoos.
Currently set within approximately two acres of Hertfordshire countryside this unique zoo offers visitors of all ages and abilities the chance to get up close to a variety of wild animals.
The zoo is home to many animal species including zebras, lemurs, red kangaroos, wallabies, emus and reindeer. Highlight species have to include Madagascar’s largest carnivore, the fossa, and the only Cuban hutia currently exhibited in a UK zoo.
As part of this zoo’s interactive approach, visitors can also enjoy a range of daily ranger talks, animal feeds and interactive animal encounter sessions. You can even go behind the scenes with one of the zoo’s animal experiences.
The zoo is part of the International Zoo Educators Association and participates in various conservation and educational programmes.
