Close encounters of the slow kind

Drusillas Park in East Sussex has introduced a brand new Close Encounter experience for 2018 with their beautiful two-toed sloths.

Each 40 minute session, with one of the park’s slowest and most popular residents, takes place in the walk-through bat enclosure, where visitors get the chance to feed and come face-to-face with these strange and wonderful animals.

Included in the experience, open to anyone aged 6 years and over, visitors can also get up close to the bats and golden lion tamarins that share the large enclosure with the sloths.

Drusillas currently runs a range of furry and feathered Close Encounter animal experiences including: Lunch with the Lemurs, Meerkat Meeting, Tea with the Coatis or Beavers, Penguin Feeding, Snuggle up with a Snake and Tickle a Tarantula.

The sloth encounters are not the only new thing Drusillas will be launching in 2018, so keep an eye on their website for further details.
