Herd of dinosaurs move in to London Zoo

ZSL London Zoo will become home to a new herd of colossal creatures this this summer as dinosaurs move in for Zoorassic Park.

From 22nd July visitors to the Zoo can travel back in time to prehistoric times and come face-to-face with life-size, moving dinosaurs – from the giant but gentle brachiosaurus to the towering tyrannosaurus rex.

Take a trip to the Mesozoic era, which is about 65 million years ago, and with the help of ZSL’s tour guides spot dinosaur favourites such as triceratops, standing guard over its nest, or the armour-plated edmontonia – a tank-like dinosaur covered in spikes.

Family passports will be given to all those embarking on a Zoorassic time travel safari, allowing them on a journey of discovery to find out all about these fascinating creatures, as well as learning how ZSL’s conservation work helps towards keeping today’s animals from becoming extinct.

Fun trails will be on offer for kids to complete, along with fossil digs to explore and baby dinosaurs to meet. Popular children’s TV presenter Andy Day will also be kicking off the summer opening weekend with a series of free live shows.

On select Saturdays in August and September, kids get the chance to spend a night in the Zoo sleeping-over near the mega-lizards and experiencing the sights and sounds of ZSL London Zoo at night. Summer Sleepover also includes a tour of the Zoo’s animals – both prehistoric and contemporary.

Zoorassic Park at ZSL London Zoo runs from 22 July – 3 September 2017. For more information and to book tickets go to
