This winter, families visiting SEA LIFE Manchester are being offered the opportunity to join the attraction’s turtle rescue team.
Grab a Patrol Book when you arrive and join in the turtle rescue mission by writing down which breed of turtle you’re going to be saving, then keeping a log of your turtle’s details as you help with all the different rescue stages.
You’ll take part in an activity trail with your Official Patrol Book, enjoy a meet and greet with Doc Shelby – the attraction’s knowledgeable turtle expert, take part in some turtle-y awesome crafts, and see Cammy and Ernie, the green sea turtles as you journey through SEA LIFE Manchester and discover its magical underwater world.
Green sea turtles get their name from the colour of their skin in the wild, which is green due to the amount of seaweed they eat. At SEA LIFE Manchester, they are fed a tasty diet of lettuce, broccoli and sprouts
Giant green sea turtles are endangered in the wild. SEA LIFE rescues, rehabilitates and releases many sea turtles each year that have been injured or lost their way, and has developed a BREED, RESCUE, PROTECT programme to help support species like these.
The Turtle Rescue Team event takes place until 5th February 2023 and tickets can be booked here.
