A magical journey through Chrimbo Limbo at Marwell

As the festive cheer of Christmas fades, a magical world awaits at Marwell Zoo in Hampshire where Glow Marwell is still in full swing. Beat the gloom of the Chrimbo Limbo with uplifting light displays featuring more than half a million LED bulbs, playful interactive elements and tasty treats.

Until 30th December, pay a visit to the resident animals from 1pm until 4pm before stepping into an enchanted realm as Marwell Zoo transforms into a twinkling wonderland.

Captivating displays include classics such as nutcrackers, Christmas trees, snow machines and fairy lights galore. There’s a modern twist in the form of animated butterflies, our custom-built enchanted tree, lasers and projection displays too. Plus, don’t forget to strike a pose on Rainbow Road, turn magical stepping stones every colour of the rainbow and take a ride on an illuminated moon chair.

Why You Shouldn’t Miss It

  1. Double the sparkle: This year, Marwell Zoo has doubled the sparkle. The enchanted nature trail features brand-new illuminations that will leave you wide-eyed with wonder. As you follow the illuminated trail, you’ll encounter magical creatures brought to life in the Glow Forest.
  2. Travel through the multicoloured light tunnel: At 36 metres long, this year’s light tunnel photo opportunity is the perfect backdrop for a family selfie, snap with your bestie or romantic date night memento. Don your most festive knitwear and let the lights work their magic.
  3. Interactive displays: Capture the magic with photo opportunities throughout the event including shadow walls and illuminated wings. Perfect for all ages, whether you’re one, 10 or 100!
  4. Warm up with festive delights: As you explore, warm up with mulled wine, Baileys hot chocolate or coffee, and toast marshmallows around cosy fire pits.

Children under three years old enter free of charge but you need to book them a free ticket when planning your visit during the Chrimbo Limbo period.
