New stripes for Scotland

The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) is to open a new enclosure at RZSS Edinburgh Zoo for its pair of critically endangered Sumatran tigers.

Due to launch in June 2016, Tiger Tracks will be home to Jambi and Baginda, an adult breeding pair. It will be more than three times the size of the existing Sumatran tiger enclosure at the zoo and feature a ground level viewing tunnel for visitors, covered pathways, a high level viewing area, feeding post and cubbing den.

Tiger Tracks will also boast climbing structures for the tiger pair, heated rocks to relax on, ponds to splash in and a new indoor house.

The zoo offers discounted entry rates for groups of 10 or more people.
