Longleat in Wiltshire has welcomed some recent new additions. The three healthy meerkat pups were yet to be named at the time of going to press but will soon be on show in the Meerkat Walkthrough, where guests can share their pathway and maybe even experience some of the meerkats dashing across their feet.
As part of its special 50th anniversary celebration of the safari park, Longleat has also unveiled a monumental new bronze lion sculpture in front of the house.
Standing 14-feet-high and nearly 26-feet-long, the three-ton statue will be joined at a later date by a twin, which will be situated next to the real lion pride.
Pre-booked groups of 12 people or more can claim exclusive discounts and perks at Longleat, and can choose to visit just the safari park or buy all-in-one tickets that also give entry to the house and gardens.
