Steve Backshall, one of Britain’s best-loved and most intrepid naturalists and television presenters, is returning to Longleat in Wiltshire for the first time in over a decade this May half term.
He will present an all-new wildlife show, created exclusively for Longleat, from Saturday 25th May until Sunday 2nd June. Tickets are on sale now.
During the show, Steve will introduce Longleat guests to some of his favourite animals, including birds of prey. In his signature style, he will engage and delight audiences to teach them about the speed and stamina of a variety of creatures, as well as the tactics and adaptations they use for surviving in the wild.
Steve will take audiences on a journey to the environments that the animals call home and bring to life the importance of conserving these habitats and protecting these species for future generations. The 30-minute live animal show will take place in a specially erected open-air theatre.
Steve Backshall said, “I can’t wait to be back at Longleat introducing people to an amazing variety of animals and birds of prey, as well as raising much needed funds to support the critical conservation work that is being done by Tusk.”

‘Steve Backshall Live’ will raise money for TUSK, a UK-based charity that aids conservation throughout Africa by working with local leaders to support their conservation programmes. TUSK is protecting over 40 species, including elephants and rhinos, and Longleat guests can help too. Reservations to ‘Steve Backshall Live’ will be offered as an optional extra when booking a ticket to Longleat. There will be a £1 booking fee, the proceeds from which will be donated to TUSK.
