Supersized brick creatures head to Marwell

Marwell Zoo in Hampshire will host a world-first with its SUPERSIZED! exhibit in 2020, featuring 40 larger than life models of curious real-life creatures built using two million toy bricks.

Sneaky predators such as the fearless honey badger, venomous blue-ringed octopus and crafty assassin bug have all been chosen for their colourful appearance, unusual natural abilities and because they can be magnified to an eye-popping size.

Other highlights include a three-metre tall tarantula and a towering two-metre-high spitting cobra, plus a deep-sea area with moving displays and a UV toy brick experience.

Visitors can also follow the trail to discover more about each species and why they are often-misunderstood creatures. SUPERSIZED! follows the huge success of BRICKOSUARS! at Marwell in 2019, with both events created and built by the BRICKLIVE team.

Visitors will also be able to play games, build their own models, create toy brick graffiti and find out how the expert model makers use tiny toy bricks to build the eyes of these huge creatures.

SUPERSIZED! is on display at Marwell Zoo from 4th April to 3rd September 2020 and is included with general admission.
