In this short film, Discover Animals’ Geoff Moore visits the Gdansk Zoo in Poland to find out more about their condor breeding programme.
The first condors arrived in 1966 and Keeper of Condors Joanna Gruszczynka has been working with them since she first began her time at the zoo in 1984. She has seen 5 natural births in her time here and 11 that have been incubated.
Condors can live for over 70 years and have a wingspan of up to 3 metres!
