Based in the Cairngorms National Park, the Highland Wildlife Park is home over 200 animals from red pandas to grey wolves and the UK’s only polar bear.
The Highland Wildlife Park was opened in 1972 and, along with Edinburgh Zoo, is run by the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland. It includes a drive through, as well as a walk through area, and works with other zoos and conservation agencies in the UK, Europe and around the world in co-ordinated conservation programmes to help ensure the survival of many threatened animal species.
