Nausicaa is the French National Sea Life Centre in the coastal town of Boulogne-sur-Mer. There are 36,000 animals from 1,000 different species living at Nausicaa.
Amongst the most popular are the African penguin, blue spotted ray, common caiman, Californian sea lion, clown fish, North Pacific giant octopus, lionfish, loggerhead sea turtle, moon jelly fish, nurse shark, sand tiger shark, thornback ray, white spotted pufferfish and zebra shark. In fact the attraction has 13 different species of shark with 140 sharks in total!
It is a member of the World Ocean Network and recently opened a new exhibition, At Sea On Board the Thalassa.
