Visitors to Hampshire looking for Easter wildlife will be spoilt for choice at Marwell Zoo, with offers including an ‘Appy Egg Trail, a special ticket offer and new experience days.
The ‘Appy Egg Trail comes free as part of a visit to the zoo and guests just need to download the free Marwell Zoo app to take part. Everyone that manages to unscramble the letters and submits the correct animal species will be entered into a draw for a chance to win a family membership to the zoo. There are some small runner up prizes up for grabs too.
There is also a comeback over the Easter break for the free seven day return incentive. Every day ticket bought in advance for 1st – 16th April will entitle people to a free return visit within seven days, offering twice as much value for money on an Easter wildlife day out.
The offer means that if the spring weather doesn’t quite live up to expectations or your little people can’t quite make it around the whole 140-acre site in one day, you can take your time, come back another day and do all of the bits you missed the first time.
Free return visits double your chances of seeing some of the zoo’s more elusive animals, visiting all five adventure playgrounds and making the most of the picnic spots and food outlets. Terms and conditions apply and can be found online.
Marwell has also launched a new gift experience range so that visitors can enjoy even more Easter wildlife. It includes feeding the attraction’s giraffe or penguins, getting closer to the Amur tiger or snow leopard, going behind the scenes with the birds, primates or tropical house teams, and a savannah experience with serval and mongoose or meerkats.
Each of the experiences has been tailor made to offer exciting opportunities to get closer to the zoo’s animals, learn all about them from the keepers and make the kind of memories that will be cherished for a lifetime. All of the animal experiences include a full day at the zoo and 10% discount in the gift shop.

And if you’d rather capture your memories on film, Marwell has launched photographic experience days led by an expert wildlife photographer who will help guests develop their photography skills.
This experience allows you to get the best views of the animals with access to public and exclusive areas to ensure the perfect picture. The groups will be kept small (maximum of 6 per session) to ensure plenty of expert one to one time and the day includes inclusive pre-opening entry at 8:30am, breakfast, lunch and refreshments.
