Hamish the polar bear enjoyed the recent snowfall at his Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) Highland Wildlife Park home this week.
The wildlife conservation charity looks after a number of cold-weather adapted and native animals within 105 hectares at the Cairngorms National Park, including snow leopard, Amur tiger, Japanese macaque, European bison, and Scottish wildcat.
The first polar bear to be born in the UK for 25 years, Hamish celebrated his second birthday in December 2019. Polar bears are the largest land carnivore, and for his weigh-in at the end of last summer, Hamish tipped the scales at an impressive 340 kilograms!
