A new sculpture trail featuring dozens of animal-inspired artworks has opened at Leeds Castle in Kent. Running until 8th October, the Sublime Sculpture Trail Safari is one of the highlights of the iconic castle’s wider Festival of Craft and Design.
Visitors can explore the castle’s stunning grounds and gardens, and discover breathtaking artwork created by a diverse group of more than 20 local and international artists.

The sculptures have been positioned in various locations throughout the grounds, with some hidden in unexpected corners and others towering within the treetops. Visitors will be able to see a wide range of different animals represented including elephants, sheep, owls and giraffes.
The artists featured in the Sculpture Trail come from a wide range of backgrounds and have worked with a variety of materials, from bronze and stone to wood and even recycled materials. This array of artwork ensures there’s something for everyone on the trail, from traditional sculpture enthusiasts to those who are just discovering the beauty of this unique art form.
In addition to the Sculpture Trail, the wider Festival of Craft and Design offers a range of other events and activities designed to celebrate the beauty and richness of Leeds Castle and its unique history and design including workshops, talks and photography competitions.

The Sublime Sculpture Trail Safari runs until 8th October and the Festival of Craft & Design runs throughout September. Both events are included as part of the Leeds Castle admission ticket.
