Support international conservation charity on World Rhino Day

Saturday 22nd September is #WorldRhinoDay with organisations throughout the world joining in to raise vital funds and awareness for rhino conservation.

International wildlife charity Save the Rhino work with experts on projects across the globe in a bid to stop illegal poaching which has reached crisis point and resulted in the loss of rhino habitat. Three of the five species of rhino are now Critically Endangered, with two of them having fewer than 80 animals left in the wild.

The good news is that conservation is making progress and rhino poaching numbers are down this year from previous years in South Africa, Namibia and Kenya. Save the Rhino believe that we can stop poaching and habitat loss so that in 20 years’ time, rhinos will no longer be near extinction. But action is needed now to help save the rhino.
